  • 8 onions, chopped
  • 4 green peppers, chopped
  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • 4 heads of cabbage, chopped
  • 12 lb. green tomatoes, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 8 large cucumbers, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. allspice
  • 3 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves

    Mix all chopped vegetables. Mix with salt and sugar; let sit overnight. Add the final four ingredients. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Place in sterilized jars and seal. Place in boiling water for 5 minutes.
