- 1 1/2 gal. green tomatoes, chopped
- 1 1/2 qt. onion, chopped
- 1 c. red pepper, chopped
- 2 c. salt
- 1 Tbsp. black pepper
- 2 qt. red vinegar
- 1 gal. white head cabbage, chopped
- 2 c. hot green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 c. bell pepper, chopped
- 1 qt. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. whole cloves
Directions

1Chop

2tomatoes and cabbage.

3Sprinkle with salt; cover with cloth.

4Let stand 12 hours.

5Drain liquid off.

6Mix into tomato mixture,

7bell pepper, onions, red pepper, hot pepper, sugar and black pepper.

8Bring to a boil about 30 minutes.

9Do not overcook.

10Add whole cloves.

11Pack in pint jars and seal. Very good with field peas, butter beans and meats.
