  • 1 qt. cabbage
  • 1 qt. green tomatoes
  • 2 sweet green peppers
  • 1 sweet red pepper
  • 4 onions
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 2 hot peppers
  • 1 1/2 pt. vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. turmeric
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed

    Grind vegetables and salt.

    Let stand for 2 hours, then drain. Boil vinegar and spices 5 minutes.

    Add vegetables and cook slowly 30 to 40 minutes.

    Seal in hot sterile jars.
