  • 1 gal. chopped cabbage
  • 4 or 5 large, chopped green peppers
  • 3 or 4 large onions
  • 1/2 gal. chopped green tomatoes
  • 4 or 5 slightly ripe tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 8 or 9 medium cucumbers
  • 4 c. vinegar
  • 2 c. water
  • 6 c. sugar

    All vegetables need to be chopped.

    Mix together.

    Bring vinegar, water, sugar and salt to a boil.

    Add vegetables and simmer 3 minutes.

    Pack in jars and cook in hot water bath 5 minutes.

    Makes 11 or 12 pints.
