- 1 1/2 lb. diced pork
- 3 lb. diced beef
- 9 Tbsp. fat
- 3 c. water or chicken broth
- 3 c. onions
- 9 c. celery, sliced diagonally
- 3 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 (No. 2) cans bean sprouts
- 18 Tbsp. soy sauce (1 c. plus 2 Tbsp.)
- 1 c. sliced mushrooms
- 6 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 (10 oz.) cans water chestnuts
Directions

1Brown meat thoroughly in fat.

2Add water and seasonings.

3Cook 30 minutes.

4Add celery, onions and cornstarch mixed with liquid. Add soy sauce, chestnuts and bean sprouts.

5Stir and cook until thickened and meat tender.

6Add mushrooms just before done.

7Serve over rice.
