- 1 1/2 lb. pork, chicken or beef cubed
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 large onion cut in 8 wedges
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 small head cabbage, shredded
- 1 small can bean sprouts, drained
- 1 large can chop suey vegetables drained
- 1/3 c. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/5 tsp. ginger
- Chow mein noodles or rice
Directions

1Cut meat into 1/2 to 3/4 inch pieces and brown in large skillet.

2Sprinkle with salt, add onion and water.

3Cover tightly and cook slowly for 45 minutes.

4Add Cabbage and cook 10 minutes. Stir in bean sprouts and chop suey vegetables.

5Blend soy sauce with cornstarch and ginger.

6Gradually add to mixture, stirring to blend.

7Cook until thicken, stirring occasionally.
