Ingredients

  • 2 or 2 1/2 lb. hamburger, browned and drained
  • 4 c. celery, chopped
  • 4 large onions, chopped
  • 3/4 c. rice
  • 1 can chicken rice soup
  • 2 cans water
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can bean sprouts or Chinese vegetables
  • 1 can chopped water chestnuts
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce

Directions

    Mix all together and bake 2 hours in slow oven.

    Last half hour, generously cover with chow mein noodles.

    Serve with soy sauce (can add mushrooms).

    We like to serve this with chopped fresh tomatoes and fresh chopped green pepper.

    Also very good with cashews sprinkled over top.
