Christmas Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cubes margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 c. flour, sifted
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • handful raisins and walnuts
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

    Beat margarine, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy.

    Add sour cream.

    Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and vanilla.

    Spoon half of batter into angel cake pan, greased and floured.

    In small dish, mix cinnamon and 4 tablespoons sugar.

    Sprinkle half of this over batter and a handful of raisins and walnuts.

    Add rest of batter, rest of cinnamon-sugar mixture and another 1/2 cup chopped nuts (raisins optional).

    Place in cold oven; set oven for 350° and bake about 1 hour.
