- 2 c. broken pecans
- 1 1/2 sticks oleo
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 8 oz. dates, chopped
- 1 lb. crystalized cherries, cut in half
- 1 lb. crystalized pineapple, in chunks
Directions

1Sprinkle pecans over greased and floured 10 x 5 x 1-inch pan. Cream oleo and add sugar.

2Continue creaming.

3Add eggs, one at a time.

4Continue beating.

5Then add flour and vanilla; mix well. Press batter down over nuts (wetting your hands helps).

6Spread dates, then cherries and pineapple over batter.

7Wet hands and press down.

8Bake at 275° to 300° for 50 to 60 minutes.

9Yields about 60 bars.
