Christmas Morning Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pork sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 (9-inch) unbaked pie shells
  • 6 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/3 c. chopped green bell pepper (optional)

Directions

    Line pie pans with pie shells. In bowl, combine sausage and cheeses.

    Place half of mixture in each shell.

    Combine eggs, milk, onion and peppers. Pour half over sausage in each shell. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.

    Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
