  • 1 c. soft butter
  • 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/4 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. chopped walnuts

Directions

    Mix thoroughly butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla.

    Stir in flour and salt, then chopped walnuts.

    Chill dough 1 hour. Roll into 1-inch balls.

    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes, until set, but not brown.

    While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar.

    Cool and roll again in confectioners sugar.

    Makes 4 dozen.
