Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons mint extract
- green food coloring
Directions

1preheat oven to 400°

2whisk flour salt and baking powder in a bowl.

3Cream butter and sugar well, add egg,flour mixture and mint extract. When all incorporated add food coloring a little at a time until you are pleased with the shade of green.

4Place dough into a cookie press with the tree disc and press out on a cookie sheet. If dough is too soft, refrigerate for an hour or so until able to hold the shape from the press.

5Sprinkle with green sugar.

6Bake 10 to 12 minutes until edges are just minutely brown.

7Cool on wire rack and keep in a sealed container. Will keep in a cool place for weeks.

8I like to melt white chocolate and drizzle over baked cookie.

9More mint can be added to the chocolate or sometimes mint green melties can be purchased in baking section of hobby stores.

10Number of cookies depends on thickness of press, do not make them too thick.
