Chuck Wagon Ranch Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can butter beans, drained
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can Great Northern beans, drained
  • 1 jar B & M beans (retain sauce)

Directions

    Cut bacon into small pieces and brown in frying pan.

    Put bacon into a large crock-pot or Dutch oven and drain grease from frying pan.

    In same frying pan, add hamburger and brown.

    Add hamburger to the crock-pot and drain off grease from frying pan.

    Saut onion in same pan, then add to crock-pot.

    Add all the beans to the crock-pot and stir to blend.

    In the same frying pan, add the brown sugar, ketchup, mustard and vinegar.

    Heat until the sugar has dissolved.

    Add to the crock-pot.

    Heat the crock-pot until beans are hot.

    Can be eaten right away or slow cooked for hours.
