Ingredients

  • 1 kg boneless chicken
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • black salt
  • 1 large onion (rings)
  • 4 cups fresh coriander leaves (roughly chopped)
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves (roughly chopped)
  • 3 -4 green chilies (roughly chopped)
  • 2 inches gingerroot (roughly chopped)
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 pinch asafetida powder

Directions

    Grind together all the ingredients for the chutney to a smooth paste.

    Add yogurt and black salt and mix well.

    Marinate the chicken in this mixture, preferably in the refrigerator, for minimum 1/2 an hour.

    Heat a tablespoon of oil in a non-stick pan and arrange these marinated chicken pieces over it.

    Cook till golden brown on both the sides.

    Serve hot (drizzled with some lemon juice over it) with any kind of bread (Indian /non Indian) and onion rings.
