- 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 (29 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14 oz.) can peeled, whole tomatoes
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 toe garlic
- pinch of ground red pepper
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
Directions

1In large saucepan, cook ground beef and onion until onion is tender and ground beef is no longer pink.

2Drain fat from meat. Add the remaining ingredients; stir well.

3Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

4Remove bay leaf and garlic toe.

5Serve over hot, drained spaghetti noodles.

6Top each serving with grated Cheddar cheese.
