Cinnamon Nut Cake

- 1/3 c. soft butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 c. milk
- 2/3 c. broken nuts
Directions

1Heat oven to 350° (moderate).

2Grease and flour 2 square pans, 8 x 8 x 2-inches.

3Mix butter, sugar and eggs in mixing bowl. Beat 5 minutes, high speed on mixer or by hand until well mixed. Blend flour, baking powder and cinnamon.

4Add alternately in 3 additions with milk, starting and ending with dry ingredients. Beat on low speed just until smooth; fold in nuts. Pour into prepared pan.

5Bake 35 to 40 minutes.

6Frost with Browned Butter Icing.
