- 2 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. raisins
Directions

1Preheat oven to 500°.

2Sift dry ingredients into bowl.

3Cut shortening until coarse crumbs form.

4Add milk and raisins; mix well.

5Place on lightly floured surface, knead gently 10 to 12 times.

6Roll dough and cut out biscuits.

7Put on ungreased cookie sheet.

8Place in oven for 10 minutes.
