  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 c. shortening
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. raisins

    Sift dry ingredients into bowl.

    Cut shortening until coarse crumbs form.

    Add milk and raisins; mix well.

    Place on lightly floured surface, knead gently 10 to 12 times.
