- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1In large mixer bowl, combine yeast and 2 cups flour.

2Heat milk, sugar, shortening and salt just until warm.

3Add to dry ingredients in mixing bowl; add egg.

4Beat at low speed with mixer. Beat 3 minutes at high speed.

5By hand, gradually stir in remaining flour to make a soft dough.

6Place in greased bowl.

7Cover and let rise until double, 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

8Turn out on lightly floured surface.

9Roll into rectangle.

10Spread butter, cinnamon and sugar. Roll into jellyroll; seal edge.

11Cut roll in 1-inch slices.

12Place on greased cookie sheet.

13Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.

14Makes 24 rolls.
