- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 c. hot water
- 4 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 egg
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cinnamon
- 1 stick oleo
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water in small bowl.

2In large bowl combine 1/4 cup sugar, oil and hot water.

3Add 1/2 cup flour and egg.

4Mix in yeast mixture and enough self-rising flour (about 4 cups) to make a soft dough.

5Turn out on floured surface and let rest 10 to 15 minutes.

6Knead until smooth and elastic.

7Put into oiled bowl and turn over so top is oiled.

8Let rise until double in size.

9Turn out on floured surface, knead until smooth and roll out very thin.

10Mix 1 cup sugar and cinnamon.

11Spread cinnamon mixture on dough.

12Take oleo, pinch in small pieces and spread over sugar-cinnamon mixture.

13Roll into a tight tube.

14Cut crossways into 1/2-inch slices and place cut side up in an oiled pan.

15Let rise until double.

16Bake in a preheated 375° oven until brown. Glaze with powdered sugar glaze while still warm.
