  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 unbeaten egg
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 yeast

Directions

    Bring to boil the sour cream.

    Add shortening, sugar, soda and salt.

    Cool to lukewarm.

    Add unbeaten egg, then yeast.

    Stir. Add flour.

    Knead a little.

    Cover with cloth for a few minutes. Roll out and cover with brown sugar and cinnamon.

    Cut into desired shapes.

    Let rise.

    Bake for 12 to 15 minutes at about 400°.

    Spread frosting over when done.
