Ingredients
- 1 slice bacon, cut in half
- 2 Tbsp. diced onion
- 1 small potato, peeled and diced
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 (8 oz.) can minced clams (undrained)
- 1 c. milk
- 1 stick butter
- 1 pt. half and half
- 1/2 pt. whipping cream
Directions

1Cook bacon until crisp; drain on paper towels and reserve drippings.

2Saute onion in reserved bacon drippings until tender; set aside.

3Combine potatoes, water, salt and pepper in a saucepan; cook over medium heat just until potato is tender.

4Stir in clams, milk, butter and onion; simmer 3 minutes or until well heated.

5Crumble bacon over each serving.

6Yields 2 servings.
