- 1 c. onion, cut up
- 1 c. celery
- 2 c. potatoes, cubed
- 2 cans clams
- few grains pepper
- 3/4 c. butter
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1 qt. half and half
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Drain juice from clams.

2Pour over vegetables in saucepan. Put enough water to cover vegetables.

3Simmer on medium heat until vegetables are tender.

4Melt butter in large pan.

5Add flour and half and half.

6Stir with wire whip.

7Keep mixing, about 15 minutes, until thick, then add vegetables to it.
