- 3 oz. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 Tbsp. unsalted butter (at room temperature)
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Heat oven to 250°.

2Chop the chocolate; put into ovenproof pan and melt the chocolate, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Remove chocolate and increase temperature to 325°.

3Butter 9-inch square baking pan.

4Combine flour, baking powder and salt with electric mixer; beat butter and sugar until fluffy.

5Beat in eggs 1 at a time.

6Slowly beat in chocolate, then the vanilla.

7Reduce speed to low.

8Beat in flour mixture until mixed, then add walnuts.

9Put in pan.

10Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
