- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Cream butter; add sugar gradually and add vanilla.

2Beat in egg.

3Blend in sifted dry ingredients and milk alternately; chill until firm.

4Shape into 4 rolls, 1-inch in diameter.

5Wrap in waxed paper.

6Chill overnight.

7Cut into 1/8-inch slices.

8Place on ungreased cookie sheets.

9Bake at 325° for about 8 minutes. Cool.

10Make Mint Filling.
