- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
- 2/3 c. pecans
Directions

1Beat egg whites, cream of tartar, salt and vanilla until stiff.

2Add sugar gradually and continue beating until it forms stiff peaks.

3Fold in chips and nuts.

4Drop by teaspoons onto well-greased paper bag (reversed) that has been placed on cookie sheet.

5Bake 20 to 23 minutes at 300°.
