- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 c. all-purpose flour *
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Mix sugar, margarine, vanilla and eggs. Stir in remaining ingredients.

3Spread in greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch square pan.

4Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes.

5Cool.

6Frost with Fudge Frosting, if desired.

7Cut into about 2-inch squares.

8Makes 16 brownies, 160 calories per brownie.
