- 2 1/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. cocoa (unsweetened)
- 3 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Directions

1Combine all ingredients in a large mixer bowl; beat 30 seconds on medium speed, scraping sides and bottom constantly.

2Pour mixture into greased and floured 9 1/4 x 5 1/4 x 2 3/4-inch loaf pan.

3Bake at 350° for 60 to 65 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.

4Cool for 10 minutes.

5Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
