  • 2 1/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. cocoa (unsweetened)
  • 3 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Combine all ingredients in a large mixer bowl; beat 30 seconds on medium speed, scraping sides and bottom constantly.

    Pour mixture into greased and floured 9 1/4 x 5 1/4 x 2 3/4-inch loaf pan.

    Bake at 350° for 60 to 65 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.

    Cool for 10 minutes.

    Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
