- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. cornstarch or flour
- 2 c. milk
- 3 eggs, separated
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Mix cocoa, cornstarch, egg yolks, salt, milk and sugar in saucepan.

2Cook until thick, stirring constantly.

3Cool and pour into baked pie shell.

4Beat egg whites until foamy.

5Add sugar, a tablespoon at a time, and beat until stiff peaks are formed. Spread over cooked filling.

6Bake at 350° for about 12 minutes or until light golden brown.

7Cool before serving.
