  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 3 eggs, unbeaten
  • 2/3 c. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 c. milk

Directions

    Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time,

    beating after each. Add vanilla.

    Sift dry ingredients, then add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Bake in three greased 8-inch layer pans at 350° about 35 minutes.
