- 3/4 lb. butter
- 1/2 lb. sugar
- 8 eggs, well beaten
- 1 Tbsp. essence of lemon
- 1 small nutmeg, grated
- 1/2 lb. flour
- 1/2 lb. grated coconut
Directions

1Beat to a fine cream butter and sugar; gradually add eggs, then mix in lemon and nutmeg.

2Mix all well together, then stir in lightly flour, in turn with grated coconut.

3Pour mixture in well-buttered pan and bake quickly.
