  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 egg whites

Directions

    Heat oven to 350°.

    Grease and flour pans.

    Put sugar, shortening, egg whites, vanilla and milk into a large mixing bowl. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl occasionally.

    Pour into prepared pans and bake at 350° until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or about 25 minutes.

    Cool and frost with Seven Minute Icing and coconut.
