- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. Crisco shortening
- 1 tsp. coconut flavoring
- 3 eggs (unbeaten)
Directions

1Have all ingredients at room temperature.

2Grease two 8-inch or 9-inch round cake pans (flour pans).

3Sift flour before measuring.

4Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in large mixing bowl.

5Add shortening, flavoring, milk and eggs.

6Beat at medium speed for 5 minutes.

7Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
