  • 1/2 lb. margarine, softened
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 1/2 c. flour (self-rising)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream the butter and sugar well.

    Add beaten egg yolks.

    Add flour and milk alternately. Beat with mixer 2 minutes.

    Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into batter. Bake in 2 layer pans or oblong pan at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.
