Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 1/2 c. shredded coconut

Directions

    Combine all ingredients except coconut in a saucepan and stir until sugar is dissolved.

    Cook to 245° on a candy thermometer or firm ball stage.

    Remove from heat and add coconut.

    Mix well. Drop by spoonfuls on buttered cookie sheet.

    Shape into peaked mounds.

    Sweet and chewy.
