- 9-inch baked pie shell
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. flaked coconut
Directions

1In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.

2Blend milk and egg yolks; add sugar and cornstarch mixture.

3Cook over medium heat to boiling, stirring constantly.

4Boil 1 minute.

5Remove from heat; add vanilla, butter and coconut.

6Let cool, stirring occasionally.

7Pour into cooled pie shell.

8Top with meringue; sprinkle with coconut.

9Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
