- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 c. milk
- 3 egg yolks, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. coconut
Directions

1Combine flour, sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan. Gradually add milk and blend well.

2Cook, stirring constantly, until thick.

3Blend 1/2 cup of hot mixture into egg yolks and add to hot mixture in saucepan.

4Cook one minute, stirring constantly. Blend in butter, vanilla and coconut.

5Cover and cool to lukewarm, stirring occasionally.

6Pour into baked pastry shell. Top with meringue.
