- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- powdered sugar
Directions

1Combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.

2Cream butter well and add brown sugar, eggs and vanilla; beat until smooth and creamy.

3Add dry ingredients; mix well.

4Stir in coconut and pecans.

5Spread in buttered 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.

6Bake at 350° for about 25 minutes.

7Cool.

8Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into bars.

9Yield:

103 1/2 dozen bars.
