- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 rounded Tbsp. cornstarch
- pinch of salt
- 2 c. milk
- 3 eggs
- 3 1/2 oz. can coconut
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- butter or oleo
- pie crust, baked
Directions

1Stir sugar, cornstarch and salt together.

2Separate eggs. Pour the milk with the sugar mixture, saving a little to stir with egg yolks.

3Add egg yolks into mixture; stir well. Cook until thickened. Remove from fire and add butter, vanilla and 1/2 can coconut.

4Pour into baked pie shell.

5Beat egg whites until stiff. Spread over pie.

6Sprinkle rest of coconut on top. Put into oven and slightly brown coconut.
