  • 3 cups rice long grain
  • 4 cups coconut milk
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Directions

    Wash the rice and drain.

    Place in a heavy pot, add the milk, water, salt and sugar.

    Mix, cover and bring to a boil.

    Let it boil for 3 to 5 minutes.

    Reduce the heat to low and cook for 20 minutes, until done.

    A richer flavour can be obtained by increasing the amount of coconut milk and decreasing the amount of water.

    Serve with any type of curry.
