- 4 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 lb. butter
- 8 Tbsp. powdered sugar (heaping)
- 1 tsp. water
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 c. pecans, finely chopped
- powdered sugar (to roll Cocoons in)
Directions

1Mix all ingredients well.

2Mixture should be very stiff and in a large, round shape.

3Pinch off small amount and roll into cocoon shape.

4Place on a large cookie sheet close together but not touching (Cocoons will not rise).

5Bake at 300° for 30 to 45 minutes.

6Roll in powdered sugar while hot.
