- 6 (6 oz.) frozen cod or scrob fillets
- 5 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 1/2 c. sliced carrots (rounds)
- 2 1/4 c. potatoes, sliced
- 1 1/2 c. onions, largely diced
- 3/4 c. celery, sliced
- 3/4 c. green pepper, chopped
- 2 tsp. salt or to taste
- 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3 Tbsp. white wine (optional)
- 2 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Partially thaw fish fillets.

2Cut into large chunks.

3Saute carrots and potatoes in margarine approximately 5 minutes in heavy pot.

4Add remaining vegetables and seasonings. Simmer 3 minutes longer.

5Add wine, water and fish.

6Ladle into 6 ovenproof bowls and bake in preheated 400° oven for 5 to 8 minutes.

7Yields 6 servings.
