Ingredients
- 4 c. flour
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. yeast (dry)
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 egg (room temperature)
Directions

1Thoroughly mix 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Combine milk, water and margarine.

2Heat until just warm.

3Slowly add to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes.

4Add egg and 1 cup flour.

5Beat 2 minutes.

6Scrape bowl.

7Add enough flour to make stiff batter.

8Spoon into 2 well-greased coffee cans (1 pound size).

9Cover with plastic lids.

10Let rise until almost to top of can.

11Remove lids and bake in 375° oven for 35 minutes.

12Remove from cans and cool on rack on side.
