Ingredients
- 1 oz. warm water
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 (14 oz.) can milk
- 6 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. oil
Directions

1Mix the first 3 ingredients; let rise until bubbly.

2Add milk to yeast mixture along with 1/3 cup oil.

3Add 4 cups flour and salt.

4Mix with mixer, then add last 2 cups flour.

5Mix by hand and turn out on floured board.

6Knead lightly.

7Divide into 3 equal parts and put into 3 well-greased coffee cans with lids. Let rise until lids pop off, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

8Bake at 350° on bottom rack.

9Remove from cans at once and butter.
