- 3 c. sugar
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 5 eggs, well beaten
- 3 3/4 c. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 tsp. almond
- 3/4 tsp. lemon flavorings
Directions

1Beat eggs well.

2Cream sugar, margarine and Crisco.

3Add beaten eggs to creamed mixture.

4Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

5Alternate flour mixture and milk.

6Add flavorings. Once you begin to beat the batter, do so continually until all ingredients have been added.

7Pour into pound cake pan and place in a cold oven.

8Turn oven to 310° and bake about 1 1/4 hours, depending on the weight of your pan.
