- 1 c. butter
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
- 3 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each.

3Add flour and milk alternately.

4Put baking powder in with the last cup of flour.

5Add vanilla and lemon flavorings.

6Place in cold oven.

7Bake at 325° for the first 1/2 hour, then decrease to 300° for another 45 minutes.

8Do not peek.
