  • 1 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

    Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each.

    Add flour and milk alternately.

    Put baking powder in with the last cup of flour.

    Add vanilla and lemon flavorings.

    Place in cold oven.

    Bake at 325° for the first 1/2 hour, then decrease to 300° for another 45 minutes.
