- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. cake flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Directions

1Have ingredients at room temperature.

2Cream butter, shortening and sugar until fluffy.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

4Add flour and milk alternately.

5Stir in flavorings.

6Pour into greased and floured tube pan.

7Place in cold oven.

8Turn to 350° and bake 1 hour and 15 minutes.

9Remove from pan and cover immediately.

10Don't open and serve until next day.
