  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 3 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Put sugar, Crisco and eggs in a big bowl and beat very well. Add remaining ingredients to first mixture and mix well.

    Put in greased angel food pan.

    Put in cold oven.

    Bake about 1 hour at 350°.
