  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. salt (not iodized)
  • 2 c. light brown sugar-packed
  • 1/4 c. dry mustard

Directions

    Mix a paste of the spices and mix into cider vinegar.

    Use whole small cucumbers and leave the stem in place. If large cucumbers, after washing, cut them into spears.

    After the cucumbers are clean, place in a large jar or crock.

    Pour the vinegar mixture over the cucumbers and weight them down with a plate or non metal object to keep the cucumbers below the brine.
