Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1 lump butter (2 Tbsp.)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 or 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions

    In a small pot, heat the water, vinegar and the butter.

    Mix together the sugar, mustard, salt and flour.
  3. 3
    After mixing, add to it 1 well beaten egg.
  4. 4
    Mix well and then pour into pot of water and vinegar.

    Keep stirring to keep smooth.

    When thickened, pour over grated cabbage.
  7. 7
    Store in the refrigerator.

    Will keep for days.
