Ingredients
- 1 large head cabbage
- 2 to 3 carrots
- 1 large onion
- 1/2 lb. bacon
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. Gulden's mustard or to taste
- juice of 1 lemon or to taste
- Lawry's salt to taste
- ground pepper to taste
- 1 tsp. white horseradish
Directions

1Preferably cut cabbage with a knife so that it is not too fine, or grate on a large-hole grater.

2Grate carrots fine.

3Chop onion very fine.

4Fry bacon crisp and crumble.

5Save part of bacon grease and mix it with mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, salt, pepper and horseradish.

6Then mix this with cabbage, carrots, onion and crumbled bacon.

7Best if left in refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Remix before serving.
